Staying in rustic mountain huts in remote locations like Álftavatn, Hrafntinnusker, and Þórsmörk adds to the hike's charm. Evenings are spent enjoying group-prepared meals in a magical atmosphere, often with strolls to secret off-track locations.
The journey ends in Þórsmörk, a lush valley at the foot of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, famous for its 2010 eruption.
