Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Lake District Arrival & Rafting Adventure

Your adventure begins in the morning as you arrive at Puerto Montt Airport, where you'll meet your guide and transfer to Puerto Varas, a picturesque town nestled on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. Known for its charming German-style architecture, Puerto Varas reflects the legacy of early 20th-century German settlers. Before reaching the town, you'll be treated to stunning views of Lake Llanquihue and the iconic Osorno Volcano.

After checking in at your hotel, enjoy some free time to relax and savor a light lunch—because the real adventure awaits in the afternoon!

You'll head to Petrohué in Pérez Rosales National Park for an exhilarating rafting experience on the turquoise waters of the Petrohué River. Navigate thrilling rapids surrounded by awe-inspiring natural scenery, and finish the day with a well-deserved snack by the riverbank.

Day 2: Exploring Pérez Rosales National Park

Today's adventure takes you deep into Pérez Rosales National Park, with the majestic Osorno Volcano as your constant companion. Begin the day with a scenic drive to Ensenada, where you'll pause to admire the region's cascading rivers and the powerful beauty of Saltos de Petrohué waterfalls.

From there, embark on a thrilling three-hour trek near the shores of the famed Todos Los Santos Lake. The trail ascends through pristine landscapes, rewarding you at the summit with panoramic views of the Andes mountains, including three towering volcanoes, and the shimmering expanse of Todos Los Santos Lake below. It's a breathtaking moment you'll never forget.

Note: This excursion is available from October to March. Between April and September, an equally exciting alternative itinerary will be provided.

Day 3: Cycling by the Lake

Get ready for an invigorating day of cycling! Today, you'll embark on a scenic bike ride along the charming old roads connecting the picturesque towns of Puerto Varas, Llanquihue, and Frutillar. The route offers a delightful mix of paved and dirt paths, passing by historic southern homes and tranquil beaches. Throughout the journey, you'll be treated to magnificent views of the region's iconic peaks: Osorno Volcano, Calbuco Volcano, and Monte Tronador.

Arriving in Frutillar, you'll have time to immerse yourself in the town's rich history and culture. Explore the iconic Teatro del Lago, a stunning architectural gem perched over the serene waters of Lake Llanquihue, and visit the Museo Colonial Alemán, where lush gardens and traditional German-style buildings celebrate the legacy of German settlers in Chile’s Lake District.

Day 4: Adiós, Lake District

Take in your final glimpses of the Lake District’s stunning scenery before bidding farewell to this enchanting region. After breakfast, you'll transfer to Puerto Montt Airport to catch your onward flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of Chile's lakes, volcanoes, and adventures.

Our preferred accommodation is Hotel Casa Kalfu, a charming hotel situated by the lake. Constructed from native Patagonian wood—either original or recycled—the hotel features materials like larch, canelo, mañío, tepa, ulmo, hualle, and laurel. Every morning, guests are treated to a delicious breakfast in a cozy, lakeside setting.
