Day 2: Swim with Whale Sharks / Mural Tour / Sandboarding

Kick off your adventure-packed week with an unforgettable experience: swimming with whale sharks! These gentle giants, reaching up to 59 feet and 15 tons, are the largest fish in the world. Despite their name, there's no need to fear – their diet consists only of plankton, making this encounter both thrilling and safe.

After a delicious lunch, enjoy a guided walking tour of La Paz's vibrant murals with renowned local artist Uli Martinez. Through his insights, you'll uncover the rich history and cultural stories depicted in the town’s stunning street art.

As the sun begins to set, head to El Mogote for an exhilarating sandboarding adventure. With dunes towering up to 100 feet (30.5 meters) and breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez, this location offers an incredible playground for all skill levels. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned sandboarder, El Mogote’s mix of giant, mid-sized, and smaller dunes ensures fun for everyone.

Wrap up this action-filled day with dinner at one of La Paz’s top local spots.

Day 3: Isla Espiritu Santo

Sea of Cortez and Camp Cecil Adventure!

Today, we head to the stunning Isla Espiritu Santo and the exclusive Camp Cecil! After breakfast, we'll stop by the bodega to pick up snorkeling gear and wetsuits, then board our boats for a scenic journey into the Sea of Cortez, often called "The Aquarium of the World."

Located within a National Marine Park and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Isla Espiritu Santo is a global marine life hotspot. The surrounding waters teem with whales, dolphins, whale sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, and a rainbow of tropical fish. The island's skies and shores are equally alive with bird species like Blue-footed Boobies, Reddish Egrets, Great Blue Herons, and Yellow-footed Gulls.

Beyond the wildlife, the island’s landscape is a masterpiece of nature – towering cliffs, secluded sandy bays, unique lava rock formations, and ancient rock art from the now-extinct Guaycura and Pericu Indians. You may even spot the elusive, endemic babisuri, a ring-tailed cat unique to the island.

The day will be filled with activities tailored to your interests: kayak along the turquoise waters, snorkel with playful sea lions, hike scenic trails, paddleboard in hidden lagoons, birdwatch, or simply relax on pristine desert beaches.

On land, keep an eye out for the island’s vibrant birdlife, including the iconic Blue-footed Boobies, as they perform their unique courtship dances.

The day promises not only incredible wildlife encounters but also delicious food and refreshing drinks, prepared to perfectly complement your island experience. Each moment offers a new surprise, ensuring another unforgettable day in this island paradise.

In the evening, immerse yourself in an unforgettable Mexican Survival Cooking Class led by local lawyer-turned-chef Iker Algorri, author of Cooking Adventures in Baja California Sur and resident chef at Los Colibris Casitas. The class focuses on Chef Iker’s cooking philosophy, the Magnificence of Simplicity, as you learn to craft authentic Mexican dishes and, of course, the perfect margarita.
